"Memories That Last a Lifetime"

The Trinity County Fair Board meets

Yes, contrary to popular belief, there will be a fair this year and we are doing everything in our power to have a fair in the future but we need your help to make this happen.

We need you to come to our fair. We need you to participate in the fair. We need you to volunteer for the fair. Our county Fair provides a showcase of local livestock, agriculture, floriculture, artwork, baked and preserved goods, crafts, clothing and quilts. Our county Fair reflects the unique values and heritage of Trinity County. We are encouraging the residents and businesses of Trinity County and elsewhere to get involved with participating in and supporting our Fair now.

There are a number of ways to help the Trinity County Fair.

  1. We welcome businesses to advertise in the fair's Premium Book.

  2. We welcome individuals and businesses to become a member of the Fair Association for only $15 a year.

  3. We welcome individuals and businesses to sponsor the payout of awards. Best of Division payouts are usually, but not limited to, $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd.

  4. We welcome businesses to rent space to display and sell their wares.

  5. We welcome everyone to participate by entering their exhibits in the Fair.

And of course, we welcome you to come to our Fair!

The Trinity County Fair is a small rural fair and one of the last truly "Country Fairs" left in California.

The spectacular success of the 1921 Trinity County Fair owed its beginnings to H.C. Smith, a Hayfork rancher who tried for years, and succeeded, to convince his neighbors and friends to help organize a local fair. People of Trinity County have been showcasing their rural heritage and culture ever since.

Today, the fairgrounds are also host to many diverse activities such as weddings, family gatherings, birthday parties, fundraisers, community events and meetings, winter roller rink, bingo, roller derby, and educational activities for both youth and adults. Check our Events Calendar for all activities scheduled throughout the year.

Mission Statement:
It is the purpose of the Trinity County Fair Association to provide for the management of the Trinity County Fair in the best interest of the people of Trinity County by maximizing the resources available, promoting agriculture, and maintaining a rural atmosphere.
