FROM THE CEO’S DESK

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the 100 Year Anniversary of the Trinity County Fair, “Century of Fun in the Trinity Sun”!

As most everyone in our county is aware we were making changes right up to opening day of the Fair.  We modified the schedule after the carnival canceled due to air quality from the smoke, the rise in COVID-19 cases,

and active fires on both sides of the county.  With that said we were able to put on a truly traditional Ol’ Time Fair with 3,107 Exhibit Entries ‘way to go Trinity County’!

Exhibitor of the Year was Karen Leadbetter of Hayfork, Jr Exhibitor of the Year was Hailey Willburn from Southern Trinity, and for the second year in a row Burnt Ranch Elementary School won the Trinity County School Program!

With 203 Jr. Livestock Exhibits, we again broke our Jr. Livestock Auction Record with over $700,000 in sales, a huge Thank You to our many Livestock Buyers!

Live Entertainment was enjoyed by Fair attendees with Gotcha Covered Band on Thursday Night, Chad Bushnell and Matt Wallace on Friday Night, and Johnny Roberts and the Cow Creek Cowboys on Saturday Night.

There were over 500 people that turned out for the Logging Show on Thursday Night, and then again on Saturday and Sunday Nights we had record attendance for the Mountain Valley Raceway Races and the Destruction Derby.

I apologize for the lateness of this article as our staff was evacuated almost immediately after fair ended on Sunday, August 15th.  On behalf of myself, TCFA Board of Directors, and the Fairgrounds Staff we would like to again thank everyone who attended the Fair, our Sponsors who contributed to the Exhibit Premiums, Entertainment, Special Events, and Grounds Maintenance; without the support of the Trinity County Community we would not have an Annual Fair.

Bigfoot BBQ & Trinity VintageFest Trailer Rally is Friday May 13th - May 16th, 2022.  Including our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Competition, along with some other activities which will be announced soon!

Monthly Flea Markets will continue after Fire Camp demobilizes.

Your TCFA Membership Card gets you into the Fair Free for all 4 days, and the Bigfoot BBQ May 13th and 16th, 2022.  Membership is $25 per member.

Due to the current COVID restrictions we are again unable to have Open TCFA Board of Directors Meetings, we hope to have our Annual Meeting & Pot Luck in January, so keep an eye on this website for more information!

Meetings are currently being held virtually and/or dial in, directions to sign/call in will continue to be sent via email with the meeting agendas.

As your Trinity County Fair CEO, I would like to personally thank you for your continued support through a national pandemic and fires throughout our county, without our generous community we wouldn't have our Little Country Fair!
