BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITION
The Trinity County Fair Association Board of Directors has one opening (a 4year term = Jan 2021 - Jan 2025) which will be filled at the Virtual Annual Meeting, Jan 21st at 6:00pm. This is a volunteer position and you must become an Association Member to be eligible for election.
We received one letter from Chuck Sauer for this open Director Position.
FROM THE CEO’S DESK
I hope this finds everyone doing well as this past year has been nothing short of challenging. We would like to again thank the community for their generous donations and sponsorships, which helps the Trinity County Fair to provide the "Best Little Country Fair in California"! All sponsorships for the 2020 Trinity County Fair which was cancelled due to the national pandemic,
will be applied to our 100 Year Anniversary Fair August 12-15, 2021, which as you can see has been extended to 4 days.
In March the fairgrounds was closed to events and building rentals due to COVID-19 in an effort to keep both the community and our staff safe. Our Jr. Livestock Committee was able to develop a COVID Plan that was approved by Trinity County Environmental Health which allowed the Jr. Livestock Show and Sale to take place both virtually and live; due to our amazing donors we broke all auction records with over $580,000 in sales. During the fairgrounds closure we were utilized as an Emergency Services Facility hosting Drive-thru COVID-19 Testing;
a Red Cross Evacuation Point, a Large Animal Evacuation Center, and 2 USFS Fire Camps all in support of the August Complex Fire.
As in the past your TCFA Membership Card gets you into the Fair Free for all 4 days; August 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2021; and the Bigfoot BBQ May 14th and 15th, 2021. Membership is $20 per member and entitles you to TCFA voting privileges. Due to the current COVID restrictions we are unable to have an Open TCFA Board of Directors Annual Meeting where you the Members vote for any open Director positions. Because of these restrictions the Annual Meeting will be virtual and/or dial in, directions to sign/call in will be sent via email with the meeting agenda.
Since you are required to be a current member to vote, all memberships will be extended thru January 31, 2021.

for those who do not have email or access to internet you can call the office at 530-628-5223 for a list of nominees

*When emailing use the email address corresponding with your membership for verification to vote
*When calling in you will need to confirm your name and mailing address for verification to vote
*Each member is allowed to vote for one Director per open position

We are looking for a Logo that encompasses our 100 year Trinity County History. The winner will receive a $400 Cash Prize. Logos will be voted on at the Trinity County Fairgrounds Annual Meeting on January 21, 2021.

December 17th was Director Billie Miller's last official TCFA Board of Directors Meeting, we are all sad to see her go. Director Miller was the District 2 Board of Supervisor's Appointed Director for the Fair Board, she has been volunteering since 1951, which is over 69 years! Billie's entire family has exhibited and/or volunteered in the past including her grandchildren, and I'm sure we will continue to see them at future Fairs! Billie's family began the tradition of the children's tractor races, which they donated to the Fair and we will continue these races in their honor. Thank you Director Billie Miller for your dedication to Fair Excellence!
