FROM THE CEO’S DESK
As we put the 2024 Fair to Bed, we would like to take time to thank everyone who came out in the heat and supported ‘Your’ Trinity County Fair. Our 103rd Trinity County Fair was possible because of
our Trinity County community, we are still working on the numbers, but both the Jr. Livestock Auction and Fair was very well attended. Thursday night’s Fair Parade, with Sharon Eggleston as the 2024
Fair Parade Grand Marshall and the Friends of the Fair Celebration opened the weekend, followed by our local band Burn Scar. I hope everyone had an opportunity to visit all the new entertainment, such
as Brad’s World of Reptiles, Magician Louie Foxx, K9 Kings Dog Show, Steve’s Fun Balloons, Ariel Jean Band and the many new food vendors that came from all over the West Coast to bring new and
fresh Fair Food! Another huge thank you to Jason Wold with Wold Amusements, who provided another amazing Carnival, and to the Log Cabin Quilter’s Guild who continues to put on one of the
best Quilt Shows in California. There were record numbers for attendees and contestants in the Trinity Timber Sports Logging Competition on Friday Night, and a record number of cars for the
Enduro Race on Sunday Night. For the 3rd Year in a Row, we had one of the largest Destruction Derby Purses in California and a sold-out grandstands, all due to our many sponsors, volunteers, and
our own ‘Derby Donny’ Case! Remember if you want to watch the Destruction Derby on Saturday Night, buy your tickets during pre-sale, you not only save money but are guaranteed entrance to this
amazing show, which included a full Truck Derby this year, who knows what crazy idea Donny will have for next year! Thank you to the Jr. Livestock Committee, led by Krista Hymas for another year
of hard work to bring you our live Jr. Livestock Show & Sale. Also thank you to our Top Buyer from 2023, Trinity River Lumber, this is another new tradition where we will award our Top Buyer from the
previous year, prior to starting the current Jr. Livestock Auction. We are now finishing up the plans for our 3rd Annual Harvest Festival and Freedom Rodeo; along with
our 13 th Annual Bigfoot BBQ which has been moved back to September 13-15, 2024. Watch for more advertisements to come on our Facebook Page, Website, and the 2024 Harvest Festival Exhibitor’s
Handbook, and Bigfoot BBQ Registration Forms. Some other events happening this year include Monthly BINGO, 3rd Annual Haunted Homestead,
Enduro Racing, 4th Annual Pancakes with Santa and 4th Annual Festival of Trees! As your Trinity County Fair CEO, I would like to personally thank you for your continued support,
without our generous community we wouldn't have our Little Country Fair or all our other Events!
